Kellie in Japan

My dear wife managed to swing a 24 layover in Japan on her way to Bali. I wrote to my oldest, bestest Nihon-gin friend and he met her at the airport with his family and they went off on some adventures.

I haven't heard a word from my wife, but here are a few pictures that he has sent. Some of the pictures have captions, but most do not.

This is a picture of Kellie, Satoshi, Yuuki and Miyu. It's taken at a restaurant. Looks like she took the safe route with Yakitori and Udon. (And a fork.)

Here is Kellie on the grounds of the Emperor's castle. It's that white building above her head, as I recall. This picture seems to be on the day she arrived. She is wearing the same clothes as when she left.

Also from the grounds at the Imperial Palace, Kellie and Satoshi. And unless I am terribly mistaken, he is wearing a jacket that we bought for him when he left the US for the last time. Seems like a really generous gift, but we were trying to keep up, because he had given us a VCR as a going away present.

I don't know the story for a lot of the pics, so I'll stop before I make a bunch of mistakes. This last pic is Kellie in front of the Diet.

I'll write more when I get her pictures or something from Bali.

Hi Thayne,
At first, my children's names are "Miyu" and "Yuuki". The dashes are no meanings, just for your pronunciation.

I am so sorry I did't put captions for the pictures. I was so sleepy when I sent those pictures.

The first picture is at Japanese restrant. She ate udon(flower noodle), tempura(fried shrimp, fried vegitables), and yakitori(baked chiken).

>he is wearing a jacket that we bought for him
Yes, it is the one you gave me!

I hope she was so happy, and is enjoying the travel.

Great post, I really enjoyed looking at pictures of old friends in their home environs.

Note to self, send Mom to Bali more often, it leads to pictures of good friends, and good coffee!
